Los Angeles DA urged to arrest and prosecute Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears

A woman has called on the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to immediately arrest and prosecute Tiffany Haddish and comedian Aries Spears, whom she accused of grooming and sexually abusing her and her brother when they were minors.

Jane Doe, a 22-year-old woman, filed a lawsuit alleging that Haddish and Spears sexually abused her and her younger brother during the filming of two comedy sketches when they were only 14 and 7 years old. One of the sketches was titled “Through a Pedophiles Eyes.”

The siblings claim they were coerced into participating in sexually suggestive acts on camera, leaving them with enduring emotional trauma.

In addition to filing the lawsuit, Jane Doe sent a letter to LA County DA George Gascón, criticizing the authorities for not taking action since the case was reported to the Las Vegas Police in January 2020.

Jane Doe alleges that the initial complaint named Haddish and Spears and was transferred from the Las Vegas Police Department to the Los Angeles Police Department, where it was not acted upon.

The letter urged the DA to use their jurisdictional powers and resources to address the alleged misconduct of Haddish and Spears, offering to provide evidence and cooperate with the investigation.

Haddish, 42, admitted her involvement in the sketches in a statement on Instagram, expressing regret for their comedic intent. Spears’ attorneys stated that he “isn’t going to fall for any shakedown.”

The lawsuit alleges that the siblings’ mother, a friend of Haddish, recruited them to participate in the videos. Jane Doe described being instructed by Haddish in a sexually explicit manner during a video shoot, leaving her emotionally scarred and unable to trust others.

The complaint also details the alleged involvement of John Doe in a video at Spears’ home, which left him living an isolated and fearful life.

Representing herself in the case, Jane Doe’s accusations have been dismissed as “bogus” by Haddish’s attorney Andrew Brettler, who stated that several attorneys had declined to pursue the matter.

Haddish recently broke her silence on the case, expressing regret for her participation in the sketches and hinting at sharing more about the situation once legally permissible.

The siblings also claimed that their mother had attempted to reach a $15,000 settlement with Spears over the alleged molestation video.
