It has been revealed that American rapper, Logic, is officially retiring from his music career following the release of his sixth studio album, ‘No Pressure’, set to drop on Friday, July 24.
The 30-year-old rapper, known as Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, took to social media to make the surprising announcement. He also explained that his decision was driven by his desire to prioritize being “a great father” to his son.
In his announcement, he wrote: ‘Officially announcing my retirement with the release of “No Pressure” executive produced by No I.D. July 24th… It’s been a great decade. Now it’s time to be a great father.’
Logic and his wife, Brittney Noell, had announced the arrival of their first child, a son, back in August last year.
Logic, who began releasing music in 2009 after a series of mixtapes, has collaborated with numerous stars including Eminem, Childish Gambino, Gucci Mane, YBN Cordae, G-Eazy, Wiz Khalifa, Hailee Steinfeld, and actor Will Smith, among others.
His most notable hit was the 2017 song about suicide titled ‘1-800-273-8255.’ The song was named after a prevention hotline in the United States.
The upcoming release, ‘No Pressure’, will mark Logic’s first album since his fifth studio release, ‘Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind’, which came out last year.
