BIOGRAPHY

Actress and screenwriter Lisa Dian Owen Wyckoff was born on July 4, 1965 in Mexico City. She grew up in Xalapa, Veracruz, and was one of several actresses who participated in the workshop “Only Thursdays”, taught by the journalist and writer, Vicente Leñero; Owen was a film script workshop teacher. She debuted in 1985 in the television program Tiempo de Filmoteca and, four years later, on the big screen with the film Intimidad (1989), directed by Dana Rotberg. She participated in short films such as Nobody is Innocent (1990), The Ideal Couple (1992), A Civilized Arrangement for Divorce (1993), Ponchada (1994) and Australia (2016). Her first work as a screenwriter was the script for the short film De jazmín en flor (1996).

As for feature films, her appearances stand out in Nacho Libre (2006), El Segundo Aire (2001) , Los Insólitos Catfish (2013), among others. Owen has also ventured into television with series such as Juana Inés, Welcome Reality and Capadocia. Her most recent projects are the feature films Museo , directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios, and El Complot Mongol, by filmmaker Sebastián del Amo. Likewise, he continues to be part of the cast of El Señor de los Cielos.
