Lisa Marie Presley succumbed to a second cardiac arrest that occurred while she was in the hospital.

The 54-year-old, who was the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, was hurried to the hospital on Thursday morning, January 12, after being discovered collapsed by her housekeeper inside her Calabasas home.

Her ex-husband, Danny Keough – her first of four husbands, with whom she resided, returned home shortly after her collapse and administered CPR until paramedics arrived.

Upon arriving at her home, emergency medical technicians managed to revive her and restore her pulse, but she was already brain dead upon arrival at the hospital, as reported by TMZ.

The family hastened to her bedside, finding her in an induced coma on life support. Upon learning of her brain death, they decided to sign a ‘do not resuscitate’ order. Unfortunately, she suffered a second cardiac arrest and passed away.

Her mother, 77-year-old Priscilla, was with her during her final moments.

“She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known,” remarked Priscilla.
