Following the tragic helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, which claimed the lives of NBA legend Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others, basketball star Lebron James has chosen to honor his late friend with a meaningful new tattoo.
Lebron, who was visibly emotional at the Los Angeles airport upon hearing the news, sought out celebrity tattoo artist Vanessa Aurelia to create the commemorative ink. The following day, amid his workout at the Lakers training facility in El Segundo, he allowed photographers to capture his new tattoo.
The fresh tattoo depicts the shape of a black mamba, in reference to Kobe’s iconic nickname, along with the inscription ‘Kobe for life’.
