BIOGRAPHY
Katherine McNamara began her professional career on the Broadway stage at the age of 13. She began her on-screen appearances as a guest star in television series and films but began to gain recognition after playing the recurring role of Kat in the third season of The Fosters in 2015. She then appeared in the sequel to Maze Runner – Run or Die ( 2014), Maze Runner: Trial by Fire (2015), as Sonya, a co-leader of Group B, and reprized the role in the 2018 sequel, Maze Runner: The Death Cure . From 2016, she played the lead character Clary Fray on Shadowhunters , Freeform’s television adaptation of the best-selling The Mortal Instruments book series by Cassandra Clare, until its end in 2019. In 2018, McNamara was cast in the seventh season of Arrow as the recurring character of Mia Smoak, the daughter of Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak; McNamara was then promoted to regular for the eighth and final season.
