As mentioned above, Kate Flannery had a very humble upbringing. She was born on June 10, 1964 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She is a twin and one of seven children in an Irish-American family. Her twin sister is a social worker. Kate’s father owned a bar which he inherited from his own father. According to Kate, she and her siblings helped out at the bar, cleaning up and tending to customers.
For her high school education, Flannery went to Bishop John Carroll High School, studied for two years at Shenandoah University, then at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she eventually graduated.
The office star began his career as a stage actor. She was a member of The Second City’s National Touring Company and Chicago’s Annoyance Theater where she premiered over 15 shows.
