BIOGRAPHY
A student at the University of Maryland then at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, Karen Allen debuted on the big screen in 1978 in American College , a comedy by John Landis . A year later, she landed a small role in Woody Allen ‘s Manhattan , before appearing in William Friedkin ‘s Cruising (1980). It was in 1981 and in front of Steven Spielberg ‘s camera that Karren Allen revealed herself to the general public, with her role as Marion, former girlfriend of Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark . New notable role in 1984 with Starman by John Carpenter , where the actress plays the captive and then friend of the extra-terrestrial Jeff Bridges .
