His 2015 season got off to a rather dismal start as he violated team rules which came with a suspension of their first two games of his junior season. By the time Kareem Hunt was on the pitch for his third and first game of the season, he had suffered an injury which made him ineligible for two more games and the season ended when he was performing poorly against the previous season.
Nonetheless, Kareem Hunt returned to form and was in fine form for the 2016 season where he played 13 games with 262 rush attempts and 1,475 rushing yards. He had an impressive college season and was expected to be selected in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The boy was named by Kansas City Chiefs as the 86th pick in the 3rd round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was the first of three players from his college to be selected and the sixth to be selected in the draft.
Hunt found a spot on the first team due to a knee injury as their first-choice running back Spencer Ware was injured in his third game of the season. Thus, he witnessed his first action in the NFL in a game against one of the league’s best teams, the New England Patriots, on September 7, 2017.
