At the moment, Kait is a retired meteorologist, but nevertheless, she has made her mark in the world of journalism. Kait is known for her talent and often captivates audiences with her smile and serene yet professional approach to television. She is well known for being the host of ‘America Morning Quarter’.
The Meteorologist is a Texan, born and raised, and her love for her state shines through in everything she does, as she believes “no matter how many years you’ve been out of this state, your heart is still in the shape of the lone star”. Some would even say that dedication, she is on her way to becoming the best weather personality and meteorologist in the world.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for The WeatherChannel as a meteorologist and forecaster. She has also worked for channels such as WFAA-TV and WAKA-TV before. So what does a person need to study to get a great job like Kait’s? she went to the University of Missouri and earned a degree in atmospheric science, which is perfect for her career choice. Besides her obvious love for her career, she has some other pretty cool interests.
In her own words, “Wanderlust is an understatement”, she loves to travel and it’s not just a past time for her, she’s one of those people who plans a trip while on her trip and there’s so much to learn about her outlook on life. She thinks there is a difference between a trip and a vacation. She also believes that travel is not a luxury, but a necessity for everyone and can be achieved on any budget.
These days, she seeks to enlighten people from all walks of life on how to travel and, more importantly, when to travel. So we’ll be on the lookout for that.
Kait Parker engaged/married
It should be in the Kait Parker and biography, but we’ve saved the juicy part for you. Kait isn’t married at the moment, but don’t rush into her DM so quickly, because she’s engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Michael Lowry, who just happens to be a hurricane expert. We bet they have so much in common and as such we’re not surprised they click so well.
She shared the good news of their engagement on Twitter, in October 2015, after it was officially broadcast by Kate’s colleague. Al Roker announced his engagement on “America Morning Headquarters” when he found an official statement about it on his website.
Here’s what she wrote: “Soon I’m getting married to a Cajun guy who has a thing for hurricanes. Yeah, we’re a nerdy weather couple. So, let’s learn more about Mr. Michael Lowry. He is an American meteorologist who works for The Weather Channel. Some of you may know him as a hurricane or storm specialist. Previously, he worked at NOAA’s National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida.
He was raised in New Orleans, near the Mississippi River, and the hurricanes inspired him to later pursue a career in the field. His career began when he was in Washington as a weather expert for the United States Department of Defense, working to protect United States interests against hurricane threats around the world.
