Biography of Jonathan Allen

Jonathan was born on the 16th of January in 1995 in Anniston Alabama, but he moved to different cities during his very turbulent childhood. This may be related to the fact that his father, Richard Allen, was a military nuclear biology chemist at the time.

Jonathan’s mother suffered from mental instability. Over time, she became paranoid and refused to allow her sons to communicate with their father. She also pulled them out of school for a long time and moved to South Carolina. However, in 2004 a court granted Jonathan’s father custody of the children after they spent a few years in foster care and required their mother to undergo a psychological evaluation program, which she did not attend.

At the age of 9, Jonathan Allen developed an avid interest in soccer and played at the park with his older brother (who was 9 years his senior). He often played with boys much older and taller than himself and could keep up with them.

Jonathan remembered how his father had raised them with martial discipline and made sure they made up for the school years they had missed with their mother. Richard Allen was content that his sons, who also got good grades in school, excelled in everything. Jonathan even played the trombone very well. When Jonathan enrolled at Stone Bridge High School in Virginia, he played on the school’s football team. In his senior year, he was named the 2012 Gatorade Football Player of the Year.

He then went to the University of Alabama, where he played college football with the school team. In his freshman year, Allen played a total of 13 games and had 16 tackles. In the sophomore year 2014 he played 14 games where he started in 12 of them and in the third year (2015) he started all 14 games. Through his immense contribution as a linebacker, the Crimson Tide won the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship.

Allen’s professional career began in 2017 with Washington Redskins. He was predicted to make the first 5 picks. This was not to be, however, as he was diagnosed with arthritis in his shoulder and underwent surgery on both shoulders. He finished as the 17th pick of the 2017 NFL draft. On April 27, 2017, he signed a 4-year contract with the Redskins valued at $11.59 million.

family – parents

Southern Carolina Social Services had to take him and his brother away from their mother. This action led to a legal battle between the parents and social services until the boys were recovered in 2004 and turned over to their father. He then raised her with his new wife in a normal household. Her biological mother underwent psychological evaluation and treatment – although they never heard from her again. Jonathan has 2 step-siblings.
