BIOGRAPHY
Actor John Magaro was born on February 16, 1983 in Akron, Ohio, United States. He grew up in the community of Munroe Falls, he studied at Stow-Munroe Falls School and later theater at Point Park University in Pittsburgh. From a young age he began participating in local theater in shows such as the Cleveland Play House and the Kent State Porthouse Theater at Blossom Music Center and Weathervane Playhouse in Akron, Ohio. He began his career by making television commercials, in 2005 he made his first short film Prisoners of War and the following year he participated in the television series NY: Judicial District . In 2012 he starred in the film Not Fade Away (2012), later he participated in the acclaimed feature film, Carol (2015) and in the Netflix series Orange is the New Black (2015). He debuted on Broadway as Earl Williams, the escaped convict in The Front Page in 2016. His most recent projects include the film produced by JJ Abrams, Overlord (2018) and the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, in which he plays Leonard Peabody.
