BIOGRAPHY
Jeff Wilbusch is an actor of Israeli-German origin, born on November 14, 1987 in Haifa, Israel. Wilbusch grew up in the Satmar Hasidic Jewish community of Mea Shearim, Jerusalem. He is the oldest of 14 siblings. When he was 13 years old, he left the community and moved to Amsterdam to finish his education. He studied economics and, in 2011, earned a master’s degree in international economics from the University of Amsterdam. After finishing his postgraduate degree, he moved to Munich and studied theater at the Otto Falckenberg School of Performing Arts until 2015. In 2018, he played the role of Anton Mesterbein in the BBC-AMC miniseries The Little Drummer Girl ; Likewise, he played Noah Weisz in the German-Luxembourg television series Bad Banks (2018). In 2020, he played Moishe Lefkovitch in the German-American Netflix original miniseries Unorthodox (2020). Wilbusch speaks five languages: English, Dutch, German, Hebrew and Yiddish.
