Jalen Rose decides to end marriage with ESPN host Molly Qerim

After three years of being married, former NBA player Jalen Rose has filed for divorce from ESPN host Molly Qerim.

Jalen Rose and Molly Qerim were once known as one of the power couples in sports TV before the divorce filing.

The breakup was reported to be amicable with both parties remaining cordial. The relationship between Rose and Qerim became public in June 2016 and they got married in a low-profile ceremony in New York City in July 2018.

Jalen initiated the divorce process on April 30, 2021, shortly after appearing in a Gatorade commercial with his wife. In court documents, he stated that the marriage broke down irretrievably after Qerim relocated to Connecticut.

He confirmed the split through an Instastory post, where he wrote:

“First Take” host Qerim has not publicly commented on the news. Prior to the divorce announcement, she hosted the show on Wednesday, December 8, but has since removed Rose’s name from her social media accounts.

Jalen has expressed that he does not seek alimony and also does not want Molly to receive it. It was reported that there was no prenuptial agreement in place and Qerim does not desire any spousal support.

Rose played in the NBA from 1994-2007 before transitioning to television. Qerim previously worked at NFL Network. Despite the divorce, the former couple continues to work together at ESPN.
