J Balvin is sharing some rare comments about his baby boy!
The 37-year-old “Mi Gente” rapper made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing on Monday (May 23).
In his interview, J Balvin shared the sweet inspiration behind his son Rio‘s name.

“Rio like River… I want him to just float,” J Balvin explained.
J Balvin and his Argentinian model girlfriend Valentina Ferrer announced last summer that baby Rio was born on June 27.
Also in his interview with Ellen, J Balvin opened up about moving to Oklahoma as a foreign exchange student where he first learned English.
“I did not choose Oklahoma… I loved Oklahoma, don’t get me wrong,” J Balvin said.
The series finale of The Ellen DeGeneres Show will be airing on Thursday, May 26.
