Alex Iwobi insists that Fulham had done enough to secure a victory against Manchester United at Craven Cottage last Saturday.
Despite dominating the game for a significant period of time, the Cottagers succumbed to a 1-0 defeat in front of their home supporters.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes scored the decisive goal in stoppage time.
An unhappy Iwobi expressed his belief that Marco Silva’s team deserved more from the match.
“It’s definitely tough to accept,” Iwobi shared with the club’s official website.
“We had opportunities to score and we felt like we were in control, particularly in the second half.
But we have to regroup, move on from this result, analyze the game, and carry the positives into our next fixture.”
