Simultaneously, a spark ignited the gasoline, resulting in a sudden fire outbreak.

George Swift, who has been working for Jay for 15 years, informed Access Hollywood that the comedian will recover. He described Jay as a resilient individual and mentioned that although he was in challenging spirits, he never lost consciousness and was receiving top-notch care. Jay is currently receiving treatment at the Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles, California, where he will remain for a two-week recovery period.

Aimee Bennett, a spokesperson for the Grossman Burn Center, confirmed to CNN that Jay Leno was in stable condition and being treated for burns on his face and hands caused by a gasoline accident in his garage. The spokesperson mentioned that Jay was in good humor, appreciated the inquiries about his condition, and expressed gratitude for the good wishes.

The Grossman Center's director, Dr. Peter Grossman, provided an update during a press conference on November 16, 2022. He stated that although some burns on Jay's face were deeper and of greater concern, there was currently no evidence of nerve damage.
