BIOGRAPHY
The actor, Gustavo Sánchez Parra, was born on September 30, 1966 in Mexico City. He studied Dramatic Art at the CUT (University Theater Center) of the UNAM in 1997. In 2000 he debuted in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s film, Amores Perros and received the Ariel for Best Picture Actor, for his outstanding work playing “Jarocho “.
He has worked in both national and international productions, including Hombre en llamas (2004), The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005), The Legend of Zorro (2005), and Rabia (2009). He was recognized with the Honorary Award from the Morelia Festival for having appeared in more than 40 short films, including Azar, Arte Dramático, Náufragos, Ya ni Pedro Pablo, La departure and Nadie Returns for the Third Time . He has participated in television series such as The substance of evil (2017), El César (2017) and La hermandad (2016-2017). His latest projects for the big screen include Sound of Freedom (2017-), El Complot Mongol (2017) and Yo soy Pepito (2018).
