Types of Shiny Beasts in Hogwarts Legacy
In Hogwarts Legacy, you can ride three beasts: Graphorns, Hippogriffs, and Thestrals. Out of the 13 beasts in the game, 12 have a shiny form that you can rescue and add to your collection. The Phoenix is the only beast without a shiny variant. Here is a list of Shiny beasts in the game:

Save and Load Method
To use this technique:
- Approach a Beast’s Den.
- Confirm if there is a Shiny Beast.
- If no Shiny Beast is present, collect the Nab-Sack.
- Save the game in the ‘Settings’ menu.
- Reload the game until a Shiny Beast appears.
Wait Method
Follow these steps for this method:
- Approach a Beast’s Den.
- Use the Disillusionment Spell to become invisible.
- Capture any Shiny beast you encounter.
- Head to the nearest Floo Flame.
- Access the map and select ‘Wait.’
- This will cause the Shiny Beasts to respawn.
Identifying Shiny Beasts in Hogwarts Legacy
In Hogwarts Legacy, Shiny beasts are not explicitly labeled as such, but can be distinguished by their unique colors. Look for the sparkle symbol near the name or on the beast card in the Vivarium inventory page to identify a Shiny beast. Each species of beast will have its own distinct-colored shiny variant.
