Former WWE star Mike ‘Mantaur’ Halac is dead

The news of the passing of former WWE star Mike ‘Mantaur’ Halac has saddened the wrestling community. Halac, who was well-known for his portrayal of Mantaur in the ’90s, passed away at the age of 55.

His daughter, Demi, confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media, stating, “He went peacefully in his sleep. He’s no longer in pain. This really hit home to lose my father, he will forever be in my heart and many others. I love you dad. Make the skies beautiful for me.”

Halac began his wrestling career as Bruiser Mastino for the Catch Wrestling Association before adopting the persona of Mantaur in the World Wrestling Federation. His portrayal of the half-man/half-beast Minotaur character was a fitting role for his 400-pound frame.

Despite battling diabetes, Halac continued to compete in the ring until 2019. His resilience and dedication to his craft endeared him to fans and colleagues alike. His legacy in the wrestling world will be remembered for years to come.
