BIOGRAPHY
Florence Pernel began her acting career at the age of 10 in the TV film Plein soleil . At 14, she appeared for the first time on the big screen in the film Girls , by Just Jaeckin , photographer and director of the erotic film Emmanuelle .
In 1981, at just 15 years old, she was nominated for a César in the “Best Promising Actress” category for her role in Let the Big Salaries Raise Their Fingers! . However, she did not abandon her studies and therefore abandoned cinema. We found her again in 1989 in Mauvaise fille with Yvan Attal , and she then played secondary roles including that of Sandrine in Three Colors – Blue , by Krzysztof Kieslowski with Juliette Binoche , in 1993. Her performance earned her a second César nomination for “Most Promising Female”.
In 1993, she landed one of the most notable roles of her career, that of Judge Larrieu in the series The Judge is a Woman . Between two episodes, she continued her career in the cinema with notably Vive la République! by Eric Rochant with Gad Elmaleh , Roschdy Zem and Hippolyte Girardot and the popular success La Vache et le Président in 1999.
Florence Pernel also tried her hand at theater in A tramway named Désir , for which she was nominated for a Molières award. From then on, she multiplied the roles on stage, and landed, in 2002, her second nomination for Molières, for La Boutique au coin de la rue . The same year, after 17 episodes filmed in 9 years, she left The Judge is a Woman . She still remains present on the small screen since she plays in numerous TV films such as: Lagardere with Bruno Wolkowitch , Jaurès, the birth of a giant with Philippe Torreton or even Monsieur Léon with Michel Serrault . She is also present in the casting of major sagas like Les Thibault or Le Clan Pasquier . In 2007, she played the memorable role of Marie Humbert in Marie Humbert, a mother’s secret , a TV film which received the Grand Jury Prize at the Luchon festival.
She then returned regularly to television in My friends, my loves, my troubles. Simultaneously, she also appeared on the big screen as Mme Dumas alongside Gérard Depardieu and Benoît Poelvoorde . In 2011, Florence Pernel was Cécilia Sarkozy in La Conquête , the event film by Xavier Durringer . Note that the scenario is written by his companion, the historian Patrick Rotman .
