EPL: Ten Hag Claims Ratcliffe’s Entry Had No Impact on Man Utd Players

According to Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment in the Premier League club did not affect the players. Nevertheless, the Dutchman praised the billionaire’s arrival as a “positive” development.

Sir Dave Brailsford, Ratcliffe’s sporting guru, observed the Red Devils’ 3-2 comeback victory against Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, their first match since Ratcliffe, the chairman of Ineos, secured a $1.3 billion deal to purchase a 25% stake and oversee all football matters at the club.

“I don’t believe it has had an impact on the players. For me, I was kept informed during the entire process, so I was aware of what was happening,” ten Hag stated. “We are looking ahead. I believe it is beneficial for the club that they are becoming involved. They possess extensive experience in top-level sports – F1, a cycling team, and football clubs. They can only assist and support us in achieving our objectives. We are looking forward. They want to collaborate with us, and we want to collaborate with them,” ten Hag remarked following the match.
