The impressive display of Bassey against Nottingham Forest has earned him praise from Fulham manager, Marco Silva. Bassey, who played on the left side of a back three in the 5-0 victory, received accolades for his performance. Silva commended the defender for adapting to the new position, stating that “it was nice to see him perform as well.” Bassey’s international teammate Alex Iwobi also made an impact, scoring two goals for Fulham in the game. The 23-year-old joined Fulham from Eredivisie side Ajax in the summer.
