Chef Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, a Nigerian chef, has disclosed her intentions to surpass Hilda Baci’s world record for the longest individual cooking marathon.
During an interview with journalists in Ado-Ekiti on June 16, Dammy stated that her recent 120-hour cook was not officially recognized by the Guinness World Records (GWR). She expressed her readiness to apply for the Guinness World Records and announced her plan to cook for 150 hours in the upcoming challenge next month.
“I know many people have been wondering about my next move after the 120-hour cook-a-thon. What is next for Chef Dammy now that she has garnered attention and been in the limelight? Well, I am open to exploration! I am willing to embrace new opportunities and experiences in life. Now that the world has witnessed my capabilities, I believe it’s time for me to be given the chance to explore in various ways and capacities.
Despite the speculations about not registering the recent cooking event, my team and I have decided to embark on this new 150-hour challenge next month.
Following the overwhelming support from fans, well-wishers, and prominent individuals in society, I, Adeparusi Damilola, also known as Chef Dammy, and my team have decided to organize another cook-a-thon program next month.
This time, it will last for 150 hours and will be officially registered with the Guinness World Records. Chef Dammy is making a comeback!” she explained.
This announcement comes just four days after Hilda Baci was confirmed by Guinness World Record as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon.
