He became widely known after touring as the opening act for actress-singer-songwriter Emily Kinney during her 2016 summer tour across 31 cities in the US.

In 2010, he moved to Arizona with his parents and set up a makeshift recording studio in his bedroom, with his closet serving as the vocal booth. His Baldwin piano was purchased from Goodwill, and his equipment included a MIDI keyboard, laptop, and a drum machine.

Prior to the release of his debut album, Gardner paid tribute to The Beatles on the anniversary of their break-up in 1970. Utilizing social media, he promoted the material by releasing 15-second clips of Side 2 of Abbey Road, which reached over 6.7 million viewers on platforms like Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram.

Gardner’s debut album, “Adventures in Real Time,” was recorded in 2013 in his bedroom and included 10 out of over 100 songs he had written. The lead-off track “Let’s Get Started” released on Spotify garnered more than 2.7 million plays. Additionally, the album featured other hits such as “Too Afraid To Love You” and “Invisible”. Initially released under Bingo Master Records, it was later reissued by Warner Bros. Records.

After the release of the album, Gardner moved to California to work on a new album, which is a blend of his “bedroom studio” approach and working in a real studio, owned by his co-producer Mat Radosevich, also known as Mat Rad.

In his personal life, Gardner is in a relationship with Molly Elizabeth O’Brien, a fashion designer known for her appearance in the second season of Lifetime’s “Project Runway”.
