Divine Nwachukwu, Insurance Midfielder, Happy to be Back in Action After Recovering from Injury


Following a prolonged period of being sidelined due to injury, Bendel Insurance midfielder Divine Nwachukwu has expressed his delight at returning to action.

Nwachukwu made his comeback as a second-half substitute during Insurance’s 1-0 victory against Abia Warriors on Thursday.

Having grappled with a knee injury for over six months, the resilient midfielder is thrilled to be back on the pitch alongside his teammates.

Sharing his emotions, Nwachukwu took to his X handle to announce his return, expressing his incredible feeling to be able to play again and join forces with his teammates. He also extended his gratitude to the supporters for their unwavering backing and pledged to give his all for their pride and joy.

Nwachukwu played a crucial role in Bendel Insurance’s qualification for the CAF Confederations Cup last season. His exceptional performance during the NPFL championship playoff earned him a spot in the Super Eagles team for the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone in June.
