The Detroit rapper, Supa Emcee, who is best known for his appearance in Eminem’s “8 Mile”, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend. Security operatives have accused him of stabbing and slashing his partner, Kelly Mays, around 17 times in the neck and chest during an alleged altercation in their Detroit apartment on January 7. He fled the scene but turned himself in later in the day and was charged with murder.
Mays’ daughter disassociated herself from the rapper, stating, “I hate him now and he is no father of mine. I touched her foot, and it was cold. I have nightmares about it so every time I fall asleep, I see it.”
Supa Emcee, an established figure in the Detroit rap scene, had the opportunity to battle rap against Eminem in the iconic hip-hop film “8 Mile,” but the scene was eventually downgraded to the DVD.
