Hannah Dakota Fanning is an American actress and model, born on February 23, 1994, in Conyers, Georgia, United States. Daughter of Steven Fanning and Heather Joy, a baseball player and a tennis player, Dakota was a child prodigy. At just two years old, she learned to read and, later, wrote her own plays, which she performed to her family and her schoolmates. Her mother, discovering her talents, enrolled her in a theater school. Shortly after, her teachers advised her mother to look for a talent agency and the family decided that the best thing they could do was move to Los Angeles.
After appearing in several commercials, an agent would get him his first major role, in the television series ER (2000), and he would later have roles in series such as Ally McBeal (2000), CSI (2000), Spin City (2000) and The Ellen Show (2001). Soon came one of her most important roles, in the film I Am Sam (2001), alongside Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer.
