Authorities discover multiple firearms at A$AP Rocky’s residence during search linked to Hollywood shooting

It has been reported that law enforcement found numerous firearms at A$AP Rocky’s home during a recent investigation related to a shooting incident in November 2021.

It’s worth noting that the rapper was apprehended at Los Angeles International Airport on the morning of April 20.

Rakim Mayers, known by his stage name A$AP Rocky, had just returned from a trip to Barbados with his pregnant partner, Rihanna, before being taken into custody, as per NBC News.

According to LAPD, on the night of November 6, an altercation between two individuals took place in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles. “The argument escalated and resulted in the suspect firing a handgun at the victim. The victim sustained a minor injury from the incident and later sought medical treatment. Following the shooting, the suspect and two additional males fled the area on foot,” stated the police.

“The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Rakim Mayers, a Los Angeles resident, also known as music artist A$AP Rocky,” the police added.

The alleged victim alleged that Rocky fired at him multiple times, resulting in at least one bullet grazing his left hand.

Subsequent to his arrest, a search was conducted at his residence for potential evidence.

According to TMZ, the search at A$AP Rocky’s house revealed the presence of several firearms. However, it remains unclear whether law enforcement officials seized the gun used in the Hollywood altercation.

Law enforcement sources informed the publication that detectives will conduct ballistic tests on the weapons to ascertain Rocky’s involvement in the shooting.

According to the arrest report obtained by HollywoodLife, he was charged with a felony by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and was later released on $550,000 bail.

Following his release, HollywoodLife interviewed Los Angeles-based criminal attorney Lara Yeretsian, who indicated that if convicted, he could potentially face up to 14 years in prison for the felony charge.
