Convicted sex trafficker, Ghislaine Maxwell moved to low-security federal prison in Florida where she can take part in inmate talent show

Ghislaine Maxwell, who has been convicted of sex trafficking, has been transferred to a low-security federal prison in Florida. She will spend 20 years there for her involvement in the sexual abuse of underage girls by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. The facility, FCI Tallahassee, was chosen by the Bureau of Prisons, despite a recommendation from Judge Alison Nathan to send Maxwell to FCI Danbury in Connecticut, a decision that went against the judge’s ruling.

Maxwell’s transfer may be a relief for her, as she had complained about mistreatment at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where she was previously held. Despite the controversy surrounding her placement, she will have access to various activities at FCI Tallahassee, such as yoga, English classes, and recreational opportunities like a talent show, movies, and a running track. Additionally, she has the option to pursue various apprenticeships in trades such as electrician, baker, horticulturist, and plumber. Cosmetology is also offered, which may include massage, a sensitive subject given Maxwell’s convictions related to sexual exploitation.

Ultimately, Maxwell’s move to a new facility opens up the potential for her to engage in different activities and opportunities during her incarceration.
