During his senior year at Southern Methodist University, Cole recorded 86 pass receptions in 1,040 rush miles and two touchdowns, ending a wonderful collegiate career.

After college, Cole sought a career in the NFL by attending preseason training, where he was selected by the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2012, making their 53-man roster. In his first season with the team, he had 15 catches for 98 rushing yards in all 10 games he played but had no touchdown.

In the 2013 NFL season, Beasley scored his first touchdown pass, which he got from Tony Romo on October 3, 2013 against the Denver Broncos. During the 2014 season, he improved his game stats significantly, recording a total of 420 receptions averaging his career thrust of 11.4, noting two touchdowns and two forced fumbles.

By March 3, 2015 precisely at Beasley, the contract had been extended for another 4 years and was valued at $13.6 million. He also got more playing time on the field when teammate Dez Bryant was out with an injury. This season he recorded 52 receptions for 537-yard rushes and 5 touchdowns. Cole finished 2nd on the team after the 2015 season.
