BIOGRAPHY
Clayne Crawford decided to embark on a career as an actor towards the end of the 90s; the young man managed to land a small role in the 4th episode of season 2 of the popular series Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1997. Clayne was then credited with his real surname, Joey Crawford.
After this experience, the actor decided to change his name to Clayne, a mixture of Clan, the name of one of his ancestors and Clay, the town in Alabama where he was born. He slowly began to make himself known by appearing in successful series like Roswell or CSI: Miami in the early 2000s. He also made a name for himself in the romantic comedy based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks , Le temps d’un. Fall , alongside Mandy Moore and Shane West .
Clayne continued his career during the 2000s, roaming the big and small screens. He can notably be seen in Love Song , a drama with John Travolta and Scarlett Johansson , or the fantasy comedy, Little Suicides Between Friends . The young actor will then land a role that will bring him out of the shadows a little, that of Mitchell Caferty in the post-apocalyptic series Jericho . The series was unfortunately canceled after 2 short seasons. The actor does not let himself be defeated and bounces back in series like Life , Cold Case , CSI or Criminal Minds .
It was in 2010 that Clayne Crawford’s career reached a new milestone; he distinguished himself in the role of Kevin Wade in season 8 of 24 hours before making headlines again as Lance in Justified in 2012. He subsequently obtained a recurring role in Rectify , a series on the redemption of an ex-convict. He plays Ted Talbot Jr during the 4 seasons of the show. In 2016, Clayne Crawford’s career took a new turn; the 37-year-old actor is in fact chosen to become the new Martin Riggs in the series Lethal Weapon , TV adaptation of the successful film saga carried by Mel Gibson and Danny Glover . The actor will be the partner of Damon Wayans , who will play Roger Murtaugh, the cop “too old for this bullshit”.
