Camila was born in America although, as her name already suggests, she is not of American descent. She was born on June 29, 1994 in Charlottesville, Virginia, Camila Carraro Mendes. Her parents are Brazilian, her mother’s name is Gisele Mendes and her father is Victor Mendes. She has a sibling, an older sister named Kiara Moreno. His mother, who only speaks Portuguese, is from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. Victor Mendes, his father, speaks Portuguese and English and is originally from Brasilia, in the Federal District.
As a child, Camila moved around a lot but spent most of her childhood in Florida. She was educated at the American History School at Plantation. At some point in her childhood, at the age of 10, she moved to Brazil with her parents for a year. It was when his parents divorced. She attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Camila had been involved in many auditions for different roles in the past, but didn’t get any for one major reason: she wasn’t Latina enough. She even lost an audition for a role as Jennifer Lopez’s daughter in Shades of Blue. The role was eventually taken on by Sarah Jeffery.
Initially, she wasn’t interested in trying Veronica Lodge’s side, she and her agent thought they were going to go with a “white pin-up type girl”. However, when she learned from a friend that the film’s writers wanted to do Veronica Latina, she was all over the place. She was the last person to audition for the role, after only expressing an interest.
She has also participated in other TV series like GeekRockTV and TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles. She has also been on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Seth Meyers. She also stars as Morgan in the 2018 film The New Romantic.
Besides acting, Mendes has other interests, such as the tumblr website which she runs. For some reason, however, she chooses to keep this on the low side.

Camila has been in a relationship since September 2013. Her boyfriend is called Ian Wallace, himself a director. She posted about them on her Instagram page in September 2016 to celebrate their anniversary. For some reason, she took it later.
