Calvin Ridley Biography (Age)

The player, whose middle name is Orin, was born on 20. December 1994 in Coconut Creek, Fla. He attended Lion’s Creek Middle School before going to Monarch High School in Coconut Creek, Florida. In high school, Calvin Ridley was part of the Knights, the school’s football team. The young man was 19 years old, and due to Florida age restrictions, which do not allow anyone over 19 and nine months old to be eligible, he only played three games. At the end of his high school career, Calvin was rated a five-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals. ESPN named him the top receiver in the class of 2015.

In the future, the Coconut Creek widespreadReceiver enrolled at the University of Alabama, where he continued his football career. In his first game after being redshirted in 2014, he recorded three receptions for 22 yards and scored the first touchdown of his collegiate career. At the end of the 2015 season, he led the SEC in receptions with 89 points. Ridley remained a strong force in 2016 and 2017, but in 2018 he announced he would be giving up his senior year to enter the 2018 NFL draft.

Calvin Ridley was eventually selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round (26th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. On July 5, 2018, he signed a four-year contract with the team worth $10.9 million, including a $6.1 million signing bonus.

His brother and his family

Calvin Ridley was born to Colin Ridley (father) and Kassna Daniels (mother). When he was 7 years old, his father was deported to Guyana and the family has not seen him since.

The wide receiver is the eldest of four brothers, including Riley Ridley, who is also a football player for the University of Georgia’s Georgia Bulldogs football team. Riley was born Cavin Riley Ridley on July 22, 1996 but now goes by his middle name.

Growing up was tough for the brothers. Since their father was not in the scene, their mother tried her best to keep the family going, but she had issues of her own that led to the brothers spending a number of years in foster care at SOS Children’s Villages in Coconut Creek . According to Calvin, it was difficult to be there, but football was her way out.

As kids, although things weren’t as smooth as they would have liked, they always talked about playing in the NFL and going to college, and from the first time Calvin was 11 and Riley was 9, they always were teammates.

While at SOS Villages, the brothers attended Lion’s Creek Middle School in Coconut Creek. By the time they reached high school, their mother had her life back on track.

Speaking of the brothers, their high school coach Calvin Davis said the village, as well as their mother, played a big part in keeping them on track and having opportunities to play on the big stage. On the other hand, Calvin served as a student coach during his senior year at Monarch High and helped Riley focus on him and often spoke to him about doing the right things.

In early 2018, the brothers faced off at the College Football Playoffs national championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and their mother and family members were there to cheer them on. At the end of the game, Calvin and Riley swapped jerseys on the field.

Riley Ridley plays for the University of Georgia football team as a wide receiver and has high hopes of joining his brother in the NFL after graduation.

Looking back to where they started, these young lads can best be described as resilient fighters. Against all odds, the brothers never let anything obscure their dreams and because they stuck to it and never gave up, it has now become a reality. That transition — going through college and graduating — is proof they’re fighters, according to Georgia receivers coach James Coley. Many thanks to her mother and trainer at home who fought along.

Height, weight and body statistics

The Falcon’s wide receiver features a well-built body, which is said to be one of the main reasons for its success in the league. Calvin Ridley, wearing the number 18 jersey, is 1.85 m tall and weighs 86 kg. The player also has a hand size measurement of 1 ⁄ 8 inches (0.23 m) and an arm length of 31 5 ⁄ 8 inches (0.80 m).
