The late Nigerian evangelist and founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Michael Ojo Olowere, also known as Baba Olowere, was born on September 9th in Ilesha, Osun State, and passed away in his home on July 5th, 2023. He was a revered figure in the ministry for over six decades and was known for his miraculous deeds and the establishment of several Christ Apostolic Churches in Nigeria.
Baba Olowere had a diverse career, including various trades in Oyo State, such as repairing cocoa scales and working with iron, metal, bolts, and nuts. He later felt a calling to the ministry during his bricklaying training and went on to establish the CAC, Oke Imole, and Agbowo in 1978, from which multiple branches have sprung.
He was known for his collaborations with other religious leaders, preaching the word of God and performing miracles, as one of the few most respected prophets who made significant contributions to God’s gospel and positively impacted people’s lives.
Baba Olowere left behind a family, and it was announced that he had passed away in his home on July 5, 2023, though the cause of death was not disclosed. He was the General-Overseer of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke -Agbara. Olowere was well-regarded for his anointing and was said to have received a large measure of God’s anointing from the revered Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola.
Baba Olowere was born in Ilesha, Osun State, but hails from Ifaki, Ekiti State. He was married and had children, and though his exact age is undisclosed, it is known that he was born on September 9th.
