BIOGRAPHY
VIMS agency-affiliated Japanese voice actor Ayumu Murase was born in the United States, but grew up in Aichi, Japan, where he lived in Aichi until he graduated from high school. He later attended college in Kyoto Prefecture and moved to Tokyo, where after showing interest in theater, he joined the Japan Narration Actors Institute with the goal of becoming a voice actor. In 2011, he made his debut as a voice actor in the role of a male student in the television anime Persona 4: The Animation . The following year, he played his first main character in the role of Shun Aonuma (14 years old) in From the New World (2012). In 2016, Murase won the Seiyu Award for Best Male Newcomer. Murase voices the character of Noppo in the new Netflix original anime film Homebound (2022), which follows two childhood friends as they venture into a mysterious sea complete with a housing complex
