Serial Killer: Michael Gargiulo
Born February 15, 1976 in Glenview, Illinois, United States is a convicted American rapist and serial killer. He has also been nicknamed ‘The Hollywood Ripper’ and ‘The Boy Next Door Killer’. Gargiulo has killed approximately 7 more girls, including Ellerin, and attempted to murder two women. In 2008, he was arrested by the Santa Monica Police Department. And on July 7, 2011, he was charged with first degree murder.
After delaying his trial hearing in June 2017 that was scheduled for October 2017, his trial began on May 2, 2019. Actor Kutcher then also gave his testimony about the crimes in May. On October 19, 2019, after several hours of deliberations, a jury called for the death penalty. But as of March 2020, prosecutorial appeals continued to delay Garguilo’s sentence in California.
