Andrew Ackerman, also known as Andy, is a prominent American director, producer, and script editor celebrated for his contributions to iconic TV series such as Seinfeld, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm. Born around 1956 in Los Angeles, he started his career as a videotape editor and eventually graduated from Santa Clara University in 1978. His notable achievements include winning an Emmy for his work on WKRP in Cincinnati and being an assistant editor on Welcome Back Kotter.
Ackerman’s directorial prowess is evident in his work on Seinfeld, where he directed 89 episodes starting from the sixth season. He was also the director for every episode of The New Adventures of Old Christine.
