Allen Robinson is an American professional football wide receiver currently associated with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). Drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the 61st overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Robinson became a co-leader in the NFL in receiving touchdowns in 2015 and was listed in the Top 100 Players of the NFL of the 2016 season. Allen Robinson Bio (Age)

Allen Robinson was born in Detriot, Michigan on August 24, 1993. He developed an interest in football from an early age and while in high school joined the school football team. He went to St Mary’s Preparatory School and later completed his secondary education at Orchard Lake Secondary School. After graduating, Robinson enrolled at Penn State University where he continued his academic career.

At Penn State University, Robinson played for the school football team under coach Joe Paterno. In his rookie year, he appeared in 12 games and recorded three passes for 29 yards. The following year, after the departure of Justin Brown, Devon Smith and Curtis Drake; Robinson became the team’s first starting receiver in 2012. He recorded a massive improvement in his games finishing the season with 11 touchdowns, 1,018 yards and 77 receptions.

During his junior year in 2013, Robinson had an impressive season; he appeared in twelve games with 97 receptions, with 1,432 yards and 6 touchdowns. At the end of the season, the growing star was named an All-American by the Sporting News and a second-team All-American by Phil Steele. In 2014, Robinson did not continue his senior season, instead joining the NFL Draft.

NFL career and statistics

Allen Robinson was selected by the JacksonvilleJaguars as their 61st overall pick in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. After Marqise Lee, Allen was the second wide receiver selected by the Jaguars and the 11th wide receiver to be selected in the repechage. He signed a four-year contract worth $3.51 million ($1.17 guaranteed) with the Jaguars on June 21, 2014; the contract included a signing bonus of $877,718. Allen made his first appearance for the Jaguars in their game against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 7, 2014. He then won the starting jersey and started the remaining eight games. He finished his rookie year with ten games of which he started eight. Additionally, he recorded two touchdowns and 48 receptions with 548 receiving yards.

In the 2015 season, Robinson was named a regular starter alongside Allen Hurns. This time, he led the Jaguars in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. He finished the season with a stellar record of 14 touchdowns and 80 receptions with 1,400 receiving yards. For this remarkable feat, he became the second Jaguar receiver after Jimmy Smith to reach 1,000 receiving yards in a single season. He was named to the 2016 Pro Bowl as a backup for Calvin Johnson who struggled with injuries and was also placed 31st on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2016.

Robinson wasn’t as spectacular in 2016 as the Jaguars had an uneventful season with a 3-13 record. Jaguars coach Gus Bradley was shown the exit after week 15 of the season and was replaced by Doug Marrone. Robinson finished the season with six touchdowns and 73 receptions with 883 receiving yards. The following season, he was injured in Week 1 against the Houston Texans, which ruled him out for the remainder of the 2017 season.

In 2018, become a free agent; Allen Robinson left the Jaguars and signed with the Chicago Bears, signing a three-year, $42 million deal with the Bears.

Allen Robinson was raised by African American parents Allen Robinson and his wife Tracie. He is the younger of his parents’ two children; he has an older sister named Ashley whom he grew up with in Michigan. Ashley is a graduate of Michigan State University and currently lives in Detriot Area. His parents have contributed to his success and have always supported him in everything he does. While at St Mary’s Preparatory School, Allen’s father took him to Orchard Lake in ninth grade. There, he improved both academically and also stepped up his game. He studied telecommunications at Penn State University and also wants to become a sportscaster and coach in the future.
