Biography of the South African actress

The actress was born on June 28, 1954 in Upington Cape Province South Africa with full name Alice Maud Krige. Her father, Louis Krige, was a doctor while her mother, Patricia Krige, was a professor of clinical psychology. She grew up in Port Elizabeth alongside her two brothers.

Alice’s parents were relatively successful in their various fields and this guaranteed her and her brothers a comfortable life. His brothers followed in their father’s footsteps and became medical professionals: one was a doctor and the other a professor of surgery. Inspired by her mother’s profession, Alice enrolled at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa, to pursue a degree in clinical psychology and literature.

However, fate had other plans for her as she took a liking to the performing arts after attending an acting class for extra college credit. She eventually graduated in 1975, earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts Honors in Drama, with distinction.

Years later, in 2004 to be precise, Rhodes University awarded him an honorary doctorate of literature. Before that, she moved to England after graduating from college and enrolled at London Central School of Speech and Drama where she studied drama for 3 years.

In 1979, Alice made her film debut in the BBC. Play for today. The following year, she interpreted the role of Lucie Manette in the TV adaptation of Charles Dickens A Tale of Two Cities which was broadcast on British television.

Alice Krige returned to film and television shortly after leaving the Royal Shakespeare Company. She starred in several films and television series, including King David (1985), Baja Oklahoma (1988), Ellis’ Island (1984), Lady Killer (1992), Scarlet and Black (1993) and Sleepwalkers, to only cite a few.

In 2012, she produced and starred in the award-winning feature, Prison Caesar, which explores very little information about Julius Caesar as a teenager.

The actress was a member of the ensemble team for the American film, Thor in 2013. In 2015, she received an award in Jakarta during the International Film Festival on Peace, Inspiration and Equality , for his excellent performance in the movie Shingetsu.

Born in London on August 22, 1947, he is famous for writing and directing the 2012 hit film Prison Caesar which featured his wife, Alice, among its actors. The film won him two awards at the Asia-Pacific
International Filmmakers Festival and Berlin Independent Film Festival, respectively.

Paul and Alice have been married for 30 years and currently live in the United States. The couple have no children to our knowledge.
