BIOGRAPHY
Alex Essoe is an actress, of Saudi and Canadian nationality, born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Her parents, expatriates from her country, moved to Toronto when she was 12, around which time she became interested in acting, especially since her mother was a theater actress. She participated in plays and drama workshops at her school, but she also aspired to become a teacher. After a few years working as an advertising model, she decided to take some acting classes, in Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles, until she started working on short films and brief television episodes. Essoe had her big break with the lead role of Sarah in the acclaimed independent horror film Starry Eyes (2014), which managed to launch her career and has also led her to work frequently in the genre. In her career, Alex has participated in films such as The Neighbor (2016), Red Island (2018), Doctor Sleep (2019) and in series such as The Curse of Bly Manor (2020) and Midnight Mass (2020
