BIOGRAPHY
Aksel Hennie grew up in the Lambertseter district of Oslo. After a fourth attempt, he ended up joining the Norwegian National Theater Academy. He graduated in 2001 and played at the Vart and Nye theaters in Oslo.

Since then, and after several small roles in short films, he plays Geir, a secondary character in the romantic comedy-drama Buddy in 2003. With a particular interest in cinema, he directed his first feature film Uno in 2004. Aksel played in it. Elsewhere the first role, that of David, for which he endured six months of physical training in order to perform the bodybuilding scenes of this character. For this film, he was inspired by an event from his youth: an act of vandalism for which he was convicted.

After this experience, he returned to the camera to play in various Norwegian films and become a key actor in the country. In 2008 in particular, Aksel Hennie appeared in the war film Operation Sabotage and continued in this genre in 2011 with Age of Heroes , a British production which deals with the Second World War, alongside Sean Bean and Danny Dyer . That same year, he delivered a stunning performance in the thriller Headhunters where he was chased by Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau . A year later, Aksel Hennie changed register with Pioneer , in which he played a diver who surveyed the North Sea in the 1970s.

2014 was the year when Hollywood reached out to him: he made an appearance during an episode in season 9 of 24 and plays the role of Tydeus in Brett Ratner ‘s Hercules , alongside the massive Dwayne Johnson . Alexandra Maïo
