Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam: Salah Set to Join Saudi Pro League

Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, is predicted by Egyptian football legend Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam to make a move to the Saudi Pro League next year.

During the latter stages of the summer transfer window, there were strong rumors linking Salah with a move to Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Pro League team.

Despite a £150 million bid from Al-Ittihad for the Egyptian international, Liverpool rejected the offer.

The Reds successfully held on to Salah when the Saudi transfer window closed on September 7.

However, Mido stands by his belief that Salah will eventually head to the Middle East in the future.

Mido stated to King Fut, “Mohamed Salah will go to the Saudi Pro League. But it will be a good thing if he manages to win the Premier League title first this season.”

He further added, “After the next season, he will have only one season left on his contract with Liverpool. Next year, Liverpool will not be able to ask for more than £70 or 80 or 100 million for the sale of Mohamed Salah.”

Since joining Anfield six years ago, Salah has played a crucial role for Liverpool.

The 31-year-old has an impressive record for Jurgen Klopp’s side, scoring 188 goals and providing 81 assists in 309 games across competitions.
