AFCON: Asamoah Gyan of Ghana praises Super Eagles’ star, saying “He played with immense passion”
Former Ghanaian player, Asamoah Gyan, has commended Super Eagles’ striker, Victor Osimhen, for his passionate performance during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Round of 16 match against Cameroon on Saturday night.Osimhen demonstrated exceptional form as Nigeria secured a 2-0 victory over Cameroon at the AFCON.The Napoli forward provided an assist during the game, contributing to the two goals scored by Ademola Lookman to secure the win over the Indomitable Lions, managed by Jose Peseiro.In his post-match reaction, Gyan, whose national team was eliminated during the group stage, shared his thoughts on his X account:“Osimhen plays with passion,” remarked Gyan, emphasizing the quality every country desires to see in their players.Osimhen will aim to lead Nigeria to triumph as they face Angola in the AFCON quarter-final on Friday.
