Shelley Catherine Hennig was born on January 2, 1987 in Metairie, Louisiana to Cathy Gosset and Glenn Hennig Sr. Shelley also enjoys writing and is a published poet.
In 2003, Shelley won the Miss Louisana Teen USAPageant the very first time she entered. In 2004, she went to represent Louisiana in the Miss Teen USA pageant where she ended up winning the title.
